Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
At ArtXecute, we believe that the arts are a powerful vehicle for transformation, belonging, and success. Our mission is grounded in the conviction that every young person deserves equitable access to the stage—not only as a performer, but also as a leader, creator, and community member. This Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Policy affirms our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where all individuals can thrive.
Guiding Principles
Justice
We actively work to remove barriers that limit access to the arts for historically marginalized groups.
We acknowledge systemic inequities in our community and commit to practices that foster fairness, accountability, and restorative growth.
Equity
We ensure that resources, opportunities, and support are distributed fairly so that all students—regardless of socioeconomic status, ability, race, gender, or background—can succeed.
We commit to equitable casting, programming, and participation opportunities, recognizing that equity sometimes requires intentional differentiation to meet individual needs.
Diversity
We celebrate the richness of differences in identity, culture, perspective, and lived experience.
Our productions, leadership, and community engagement will intentionally reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
Inclusion
We strive to create an environment where every voice is valued, respected, and heard.
We embrace neurodiverse students, multilingual families, and individuals of all abilities, ensuring accessibility in both programming and communication.
Commitments
In Leadership: ArtXecute will cultivate a board, staff, and teaching team whose backgrounds and experiences reflect the youth and families we serve.
In Programming: We will select shows, workshops, and curricula that reflect diverse stories, highlight underrepresented voices, and create opportunities for students to see themselves on stage.
In Practice: We will provide accommodations, mentorship, and individualized support so that all students can fully participate in our programs.
In Partnerships: We will work with schools, community organizations, and families to expand access and reduce barriers for youth who may otherwise be excluded from the arts.
In Accountability: We will regularly review our practices, listen to feedback from students and families, and adjust our policies to ensure that our commitments are lived out in action.
Statement of Belonging
At ArtXecute, Step One is to build a family. We recognize that family is not defined by uniformity but by care, respect, and mutual support. Every student, parent, volunteer, and partner who enters our space is a valued part of that family. Together, we work to create a community where justice is pursued, equity is practiced, diversity is celebrated, and inclusion is lived.
